Goulburn Bash and Community Paddle

Goulburn Bash and Community Paddle : Nice paddle on a great river.

30 paddlers attended the Goulburn bash last  Sat 12th May and  3 national champs were back on the water all putting in good performances.  The course was from Keresdale to Trawool(10km) on the Goulburn River, and the weather was good making it a pleasant day with paddlers coming from Cobram, Shepparton, Bendigo and Melbourne . The event was using  the first stage of the Goulburn classic, Australia’s oldest canoe race.

James Humphry was first overall( dr) just on 3 min quicker than last year, Maddie Batters was fastest female and Immy Douglass was fastest junior female ( over 5 min quicker than year.

Second overall was Alex Neilson (k1) and third was James Rush ( ocean ski).

A big shout to the Bendigo families who put on a stunning morning tea, all free of course.

Following on from the Bendigo Cup, we introduced a community paddle( recreational)  for those who wanted to just enjoy the river, and we were pleasantly surprised with 20 paddlers.
