2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Slalom Age Championships

Goulburn River, Eildon 7th – 9th January 2022

Paddle Australia, in conjunction with Paddle Victoria and the Victorian Slalom Technical Committee welcomes all paddlers, officials and spectators to the 2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Slalom Age Championships, to be held on the Goulburn River, Eildon. This event is only possible with the commitment of many volunteers and the cooperation of canoeing clubs, schools, the Slalom Technical Committee, OEG, Murrindindi Shire Council and the Murray Goulburn Water Authority. The organisers take this opportunity to thank those who support the event through sponsorship & by acting as officials, helping with course construction and pack up and administering the event.

The available classes are K1M, K1W, C1M, C1W, C2M, C2W and C2Mx. Championship Entry Fee is $80, which covers individual and team events. A $20 late fee applies after the closing date of 9pm, Friday 31st December. The VSTC reserves the right to refuse late entries and no entries will be accepted on the day of competition. You must be a member of Paddle Australia.to enter this event.  Please note you need to be a full time student, studying at either secondary or primary level to be able to contribute points to school trophies and nominate a club you wish to attribute any points for club trophies.

Schedule:

  • Friday 7th January: Free practice in allocated sessions, Course setting and Demos
  • Saturday 8th January: Qualification and Age Group Championship, All Ages – best of two runs. Vic BBQ dinner.
  • Sunday 9th:  A & B Finals & Teams event (1 run only)

The Program for the 2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Slalom Age Championships is subject to change at the Competition Organisers discretion. All competitors and officials should consult the Official Programme posted in the Compiling area at the race venue each day of the Event. Any changes made will be announced at the Briefing. Last minute changes will be broadcast during the course of the day.

The Victorian government requires record keeping for every person that attends our event for longer than 15 minutes. These records will help with any future contact tracing that may be necessary in slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We are utilising a QR code to sca via a smartphone camera or QR code scanner app. The QR code will be displayed around the site and attached to you confirmation email.

OEG will be available for camping for the 7th (Fri)-9th, bookings will be taken separately using this link OEG Camp Prior to the 7th, OEG is not available.
