Bendigo Canoe Club is committed to supporting the paddling community and will run the Bendigo Cup subject to the latest government COVID19 advice and Return to play conditions.
As a CV19 incentive Bendigo Canoe club have waived the entry fees.
DUE TO RESTRICTION IT WILL BE ESSENTIALLY BE A CLUB EVENT, WE HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE FREE ENTRY TO SUPPORT OUR MEMBERS
- Training session. 10 big laps (approx 12 km)
- Half distance – 5 big laps
- Community FUN paddle – nice cruise of up to 4 laps ( you choose)
Return to play conditions Arrive – Paddle – Disperse
- All paddlers are required to enter prior to the event (no entries on the day).
- There will be a limit on entries per event, so please enter early so you do not miss out.
Entry Process and fees:
- Please confirm via email to bcc@live.com.au with the following:
- your name/ selected session / mobile no / type of boat / your age / postal address
- If paddling as part of a family or double and your partner’s name and age.
Event Details (3)
- 9.00 am sharp: Training Session (12km) (all classes). K1, WK1, JK1, Open Canoes, open TK1, skis.
- 10.30 am: 5 laps all classes and craft (schools)
- Community FUN Paddle: 2 to 4 lap’s, no racing, recreation & sea kayaks.
- 12.00: if required (due to numbers)
- The Course is a large anticlockwise lap on our pretty lake, behind the 2 islands. No portages.
- Lifejackets must be worn, and everybody must adhere to clubhouse and event COVID & hygiene protocols
- Catering and other refreshments will be available.
