Advice to all paddlers is to NOT go paddling. In support of the Victorian Government directive to stay at home, paddling for training or exercise is not deemed an essential activity and due to the possible ripple affects of travelling from your home to a place to paddle, contact with your paddling partner or possible rescue officers, Paddle Victoria is not encouraging or endorsing any paddling activity until further notice.
As per the Victorian Government recommendations, it is advised that Clubs cease any club activities, secure their clubhouses, close access to members and discourage any members from being unnecessarily out of their homes and paddling during this time.
Please Note. As a deemed Paddle Victoria venue, the Westerfolds Park / Templestowe waterway is closed to all paddlers until further notice. This is in-line with the Victorian Government directive that all sporting venues to be closed.
Parks Victoria has also closed the Westerfolds Park boat ramp in line with the Maritime Victoria recommendations. This is for both personal safety, the safety of waterway managers and rescue operators as well as the general public by reducing the spread of Covid19.
- All official Paddle Victoria events and education programs have been cancelled until further notice.
- No Paddling is endorsed by Paddle Victoria and encourages everyone to dry dock their boats and not to go paddling for any reason.
