CoronaVirus (Covid-19) Status

Recent update:

“Paddling is within scope of exercise”
The Victorian Chief Health Officer has advised that the following is now in ‘scope of exercise’:

  • Canoe
  • Kayak
  • Stand Paddle Board
  • Rowing
  • Surf Ski

Subject to the above, Paddle Victoria advises members to continue to observe the State of Emergency declaration, including following government guidance on social distancing and other existing limitations if choosing to undertake any of the above exercise activities.

Boat ramps and waterway infrastructure closed to the public for recreational boating or fishing.

As per the Victorian Government recommendations, it is advised that Clubs cease any club activities, secure their clubhouses, close access to members and discourage any members from being unnecessarily out of their homes.

In summary:

  • Paddling has been deemed within the scope of exercise
  • All official Paddle Victoria events and education programs have been cancelled until further notice.
  • Boat Ramps will be closed to the public as of 9th April until further notice.
