COVID-19 Restrictions Easing – Rural Victoria

Good news for our regional paddlers, as of 11.59 pm on Thursday 9th of September travel limits have been dropped and community sport outdoor training can take place.

From the restricted activity directions issued today “Community sport: Permitted outdoor training only with the minimum number required to train. Spectators are prohibited except one parent permitted to supervise children”

I will continue to present the case for the relative safety of paddling as exercise and the ability to access the boat storage areas at clubhouses at the regular meetings hosted by VICSPORT with DHHS representatives and the Premier’s Department.

Their will be more details from a VICSPORT meeting this Friday regarding the regional sport eased restrictions.
