Downriver Warburton to Millgrove 27 Aug 2017

Sunday saw a small group of downriver paddlers competing from Warburton to Millgrove.  This section of the river has recently been cleared of fallen trees by Melbourne Water who did a great job. The river came up with the rain on Saturday afternoon and night and was 0.94 m on the Millgrove guage.

The group did one paddle down the course to familiarise themselves with the water features and a second to record a race time. The river would be better with a bit more water but this was still well worth paddling and more familiarity with the lines would see times drop.

Thanks to the John McDonald and Leanne Nicholls for timing and transport.
