Local paddlers bound for Wildwater World Championships

Three junior paddlers from Melbourne’s East have been selected to represent Australia at the Junior and Under-23 Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in the US.

Victorians Samuel Grant, 14, Lachlan Bassett, 15, and Georgie Tonkin, 15, performed very well at the recent National Championships in Eildon. They will now travel to the Nantahaler River, North Carolina and be put to the test against some of the best paddlers in their age categories in the world. To read more about these paddlers, view the full article in newspaper The Leader by clicking here.
