CLUB HEALTH CHECK – DO YOU NEED HELP PLANNING THE FUTURE OF YOUR CLUB?

Sport and Recreation Victoria has identified two great tools to assist clubs to review and benchmark their current status as well as provide insights into what makes clubs strong and sustainable.  These tools were developed in Australia and are available to sporting clubs at no charge:

  • The Australian Sports Commission’s Club Health Check.
  • Leisure Networks’ Club HELP.

THE CLUB HEALTH CHECK

This is an online self-assessment tool aimed at helping clubs examine how they are operating.  The checklist looks at a number of different factors that are crucial to success at club level and together these factors are used to build an overall picture of the way your club carries out its operations.

The intention of the Club Health Check is to allow committees to respond to questions on behalf of the overall club. One person may respond to the checklist if they have a thorough knowledge of the club  or there is a Step-By-Step guide below which can be printed, allowing the committee to discuss responses to questions prior to submitting them.

The assessment should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. Once you have answered all questions, a detailed report will be emailed to you which will identify improvements and growth areas for your organisation.
