The annual combined Sprint and Marathon Schools Championships took place in March with many young paddlers from all across the state attending and putting their all into racing.

The afternoon’s racing focused on 200 m sprints, with paddlers racing in canoes and kayaks – singles and doubles for both.

A particular Highlight was the K-4 event with MLC, Camberwell, Trinity and Strathcona all entering at least one craft into the race. Congratulations to winners of the inaugural K-4 Schools Race Trophy winners: Trinity in the Boys and MLC in the Girls Race.

Congratulations to all students that entered, and thanks to school organizers, parents, volunteers, trailer drivers and the Sprint Committee for supporting this event. It was fantastic to see the potential of so many young paddlers on display at Nagambie and we hope to see you all again in future.
