Victorian Downriver Paddlers are Grinners At This Years Nationals

Victoria fielded their largest team (48) for many years. This was 50% of entrants and we got 71% of the gold medals. More importantly the standard of competition among the juniors, 23 and open was far better than in the past few years.

There was a seeding race to order the field for the classic race and the two sprint runs. All 4 runs were used for selection purposes. Sprint medals were based on best time, however, each run was individually ranked for the purposes of selection. The output below shows results in age class and also displays if the paddler was faster than the selection criteria percentage. This does not imply that the person has been selected, as that is based on ranked aggregate scores, it is merely to show how well some of the paddlers are doing and the depth of field.
