Yarra Series 1 – 2021

The VSTC are excited to announce the Yarra Series has returned for 2021 and we welcome all paddlers back to the Fitzsimons Lane Bridge for our first race. We will be trialling our first beginners’ race to introduce new paddlers into competition.

Schedule:

Saturday 27th March

  • 3.00pm  Help needed! Course set up at Fitzsimons Lane Bridge
  • 4:00pm Free Practice – Clubs/Individuals to provide own safety

Sunday 28th March

  • 8.00am – Course Closed
  • 8.30am – Bib number collection
  • 9.00am – Briefing for competitors, parents, judges, volunteers
  • 9.15am – Beginners’ runs
  • 10.00am -Start of first runs
  • Conclusion of first runs
  • Approx. 15min – Break
  • Start of second runs
  • Conclusion of second runs
  • Course dismantling, pack up & presentation

Classes available are Mens Kayak (MK1), Womens Kayak (WK1), Mens Canoe (MC1), Womens Canoe (WC1) & C2 classes.

Age categories are calculated automatically. Results are based on the best of 2 runs.  **Please advise prior to the day, if you need to complete both runs in the same session.**

Entry Fee $20 ($25 if non-member of Paddle Australia) – all entry fees are to be paid online via Trybooking Yarra Series Payments. New paddlers, not members of PA, must complete an insurance form before they compete.  Online entries close 5pm Thursday 25th March (entry on the day, only if space available, will be $25).
