2015 Australian Marathon Teams Announced

Following the Australian Marathon National Championships (incorporating the Oceania Championships) held over Easter, several Victorian athletes were selected to the 2015 Australian Marathon Team and Emerging Team.

The Canoe Marathon Australian Team will compete in the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in Gyor, Hungary this September.

The Canoe Marathon Emerging National Team will compete in the South African Flatwater Marathon National Championships in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa in June.

The following Victorian paddlers have been selected to represent Australia:

2015 Australian Marathon Team

K1 Senior Men – Michael Leverett

K2 Senior Men – Michael Leverett and Edward Lovick

K1 Senior Women – Marlena Ahrens

K2 Senior Women – Reka Abraham, Penny Young, Marlena Ahrens and Rebecca Mann

K1 U23 Men – Casey Haynes

K1 U23 Women – Kayla Whinray, Penny Young

K1 U18 Men – Oliver James, Hamish Young

K2 U18 Men – Oliver James, Hamish Young, Callum Gosbell and Andrew Holloway

K1 U18 Women – Stephanie Langley, Isabel Neilson

K2 U18 Women – Stephanie Langley and Isabel Neilson

U23 – Brea Roadley, Logan Dutton

U18 – Bridgitte Blood
