Footscray K4 Dash Event 2015

Footscray Amateur Canoe Club are bringing back K4 racing in 2015 with a fantastic new event – the K4 Dash.

To be held on Sunday the 19th of April at Footscray Canoe Club, this race will put paddler’s teamwork to the test as they fly down the Maribyrnong River competing against other team boats. The course will consist of only one lap; Vet 35+, Open and U18 will race a total distance of 10km and novices will complete a 5km loop. Juniors are also permitted to race in the 10km event.

There will be aged-based classes only – all male/female/mixed teams will race in the same aged-based class (competitors can enter multiple classes). Medals will be awarded to all who place on the podium and a special cash prize will be awarded to the winners of each class.

It’s time to dust off those old K4 boats, call up your paddling buddies and get a team together, because this unique event is not to be missed!

Online entries open on the 22nd of March and will close at midnight on Thursday the 16th of April (entries will be available on the day however an extra fee applies). To visit the event page and enter online, click here.
