Slalom Yarra Series 5 Results – Fitzsimons Lane Bridge

The Yarra Series Final was held at Fitzsimons Lane Bridge over the weekend.

A massive thank you goes out to all the volunteers who made the race happen – all the competitors really appreciate the opportunity to race and it would not be possible without parents putting their hand up to co-ordinate, judge, compile, time, operate radios, etc…

With low water and fantastic weather, competitors were challenged by a tight and technical course set by rising star, Tristan Carter. There were only 8 clean runs from over 100 runs posted for the entire competition, so a huge congratulationss to those that managed to master the challenging course and conditions!

The next race will be the Country Series Final during the Slalom Development Camp at Eildon Nov 20-22 (look out for registrations opening soon). This race and the Victorian Championships the following weekend Nov 28-29 will decide which competitors at the Nationals (in Tasmania in January 2016) will earn State points towards the State Trophy.

Yarra Series Trophies (based on points over the series) will be awarded at the Victorian Championships Nov 28-29th.
