With the recent influenza outbreak, below is the current Canoeing Victoria position on any Canoeing events or activities
- All Canoeing Events can/will continue as per the calendar, with the understanding that should anyone exhibit any flu like symptoms they will refrain from attending or participating in the event / activity.
- Should the pandemic rise in severity, the Government will announce additional measures of containment (such as suspending community events) via a mass media delivery (TV, radio, newspaper etc) to which Canoeing Victoria will react / advise members accordingly.
- Canoeing Victoria is now on a email list which will notify of any additional precautions or issues relating to the Swine flu.
If you are in any way concerned about your health or the health of others, please refrain from participating from ANY community event, not just canoeing.
