Wildwater / Slalom News – Andrew Clough tragically passes away

It is with sadness that Canoeing Victoria was notified today of the tragic death of one its newest members.

Andrew Clough had participated in many of the WW races last year and in the Nationals in January but tragically died in a car accident yesterday morning.  He leaves behind a wife and young son.

Andrew was a very successful paddler in UK and Europe and represented the UK on a number of occasions paring up with his brother Iain with Barcelona Olympics a highlight in Slalom C2.  He and his family had recently immigrated to Australia and were very enthusiastic about the paddling and the potential of WW in Victoria.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time.
