Canoes Plus Slalom and TID

The TID training camp was held last weekend and was a great success with many paddlers of varying abilities experiencing some fantastic coaching. It was terrific to see so many visitors from Tasmania and Western Australia.

With the Goulburn River all but dry and alternative measures in place to make the most of Big River, we were surprised to return from the day’s paddling to find the Goulburn flowing at 4000 mega litres. Perhaps Jackie Handley put the good word in for us đŸ™‚

The TID camp was topped off with the Canoes Plus race on Sunday where we were entertained by lots of paddlers trying out in C2 for the first time. The course was tricky in some places and many paddlers took a swim.

It was a fantastic weekend and thanks go to Canoes Plus for organising the event and to Kate Slatter who stepped in to organise the catering at the last minute. Everyone was well fed, well trained and enjoyed the racing.

The Victorian Championships will be held this weekend at Eildon.
