PaddlePower program a big success

The PaddlePower program is a kayaking program for school aged children which aims to expose participants to multiple types of kayaking and canoeing to ensure they learn skills so they can be competent and safe around water.
The country town of Yarrawonga situated along the Murray river has been successful for two years running under the guidance of local canoe club coach Tim Roadley, Tim speaks of the success in the program saying ‘The PaddlePower program has gone from strength to strength. All the kids have improved their knowledge about various canoes and paddling techniques while developing important skills that they can go on to use should they continue in the sport’.
The Yarrawonga program has developed participants skills to the point where they are now members of the local club and have raced in the local marathon race.
