The ICF Canoe Marathon rules have been updated for 2019. The rules can be found at the link below.

Some notable changes:
- Introduction section common to all disciplines.
- The introduction of “Disqualified for the whole competition for Unsportsmanlike Behaviour” (DQB) result, in addition to the previous “Disqualified for the event” (DSQ) result. (Rule 1.12)
- Definition of the Competition Committee as comprising the Chief Official, Chief Course Umpire and Safety Officer (Rule 7.2). This is the same as in previous years and different to the 2019 proposal which had changed the Safety Officer for the Deputy Chief Official.
