Our extended paddling family from the dragon boat community competed at the marathon kayaking winter series race held last Sunday at Patterson Lakes Canoe Club.
The dragon boaters tested themselves in challenging cold and wet conditions and increased their usual racing distance from 500m to 12km.
It was great to have the dragon boaters racing and their determination and strength provided a spectacle for everyone who attended the event.
We look forward to seeing dragon boaters at future events.
