I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to this event. Despite unkind weather and several technical glitches, we were fortunate to have so many resolute volunteers. This week is National Volunteer Week so I’d like to salute those of you who put up with the rain, slippery ground and non compliant electronics to make the event successful.
Before closing off, I have to acknowledge your patience whilst we develop a new timing and scoring system. Russell Bassett has given an inordinate amount of time and effort to develop a new system exploiting modern technology which should make the management of a Slalom Event much simpler. The system is in its early days but I’m confident it will be successful.
The next Yarra Series is scheduled for 19 June 2016 at Griffiths Park at Eltham – see you then.
