Victorians shine at Australian Canoe Polo Championships

The Canoe Polo Australian Championships were held in Victoria at Lake Nagambie on March 11th to 13th and Victorian athletes had a very successful weekend of competition taking out the best performing state award.This is the second year in a row that Victoria has been named the champion state. Victorians won gold in a number of different classes including juniors, male and female events.

Pictured below are the Victorian womens team coached by Liam Farrington. Winning the national title meant a lot to this team with one of their athletes Jennifer Stevens saying ‘It was an amazing experience to be a part of a team of such strong women in life and in sport’ she also said that ‘the training paid of with a win this time’.

Canoeing Victoria would like to congratulate all Victorian teams who competed.
