White water no barrier for Victorian Paddlers at the 2014 ICF Slalom Junior and Under 23 World Championships

Congratulations to the four Victorian paddlers who competed over 5 days at the Junior and Under 23 World Championships in Penrith!

Jaxon Merritt, Tim Anderson, Tristan Carter and Eliza Singleton were selected to represent Australia at the Championships, paddling down a tough course to try and beat their personal best and get the fastest time across the finish line. The competition was tough with 277 athletes from 33 countries battling it out to finish on the podium.

Merritt made it through to the heats of the Under 23 C1 Men’s event and to the finals in the Under 23 K1 Men’s event. Anderson was a semi-finalist in the Under 23 K1 Men event. Carter made it through to the heats of the Junior K1 Men event and to the semi-finals of the Junior C1 Men’s event. Singleton made it through to the semi-finals in her Junior K1 Women’s event.
